Hi,

I have a macro saved in vbaproject.otm, which is distributed across
all users at my firm. This works fine when using Outlook and has been
for a few years.

We recently installed a new telephone system at my firm and with it
some desktop software which can read Outlook contacts and dial them.
This application is launched at startup for every user.

The problem with it is, when the application starts, it opens
Outlook.exe (I see it running in task manager) as a background process
(presumably to access the contacts). Users then click their Outlook
shortcut to launch it, it starts normally and works as expected,
except for my vba macro. This completely ignored.

If I close both Outlook and the phone application, then start Outlook
first, followed by the phone application, then the macro works. I then
close both again, start the phone app, then Outlook and the macro is
ignored. How annoying!

Can anyone suggest a work around for this? We're using Outlook 2003
SP3.

Thanks
