| Best asked in an Exchange group - OWA is a part of Exchange, not Outlook.
microsoft.public.exchange.clients is a good place to start. As an aside, it
would need to be an Exchange add-in as OWA is only a web view of your
Exchange mailbox.

| I finally figured it out by accident. You need to go into Outlook tools under
Options. There should be a button there for Mobile services and SMS Links. I
signed up for that, restarted Outlook and then my tasks and calendar worked.
Still having problems with the Address Book. But no tech support knew what to
do to help me.

| Sounds like an Exchange issue. Does the user see her external emails
if she logs into OWA on your Exchange?
If she still isn't seeing external emails via OWA, then you have an

| I believe it was saying Logon to Pop server failed (displayed a big red X
alongside the send test email line). However, I have solved the problem in
the interim. It was apparently a problem with the new AVG 8.0, which was in
conflict with some older version of Norton I still had on my computer. I
uninstalled AVG, then Norton, then REinstalled AVG and the problem went away.
No idea why,... |

| There is no Word e-mail editor anymore in Outlook 2007. It has been replaced
by a completely new email editor which is based on a Word component.
Composing settings from Word and Outlook are now separated as well.

| Not really the same. I was suggesting a global option, to have saved
messages automatically retained in Drafts after clicking Send, could be
configured to delete them a day or a week or whatever after sending, etc.
That would have prevented the hours I had to spend re-writing the long
e-mail. (After hours spent, trying to figure out a way to recover the lost
one.)

| I realize that you made your post almost 30 days ago, but I thought that I would share that No, you do not need MS Exchange. We just purchased a product called XC Connect (www.xcnetwork.com) that allows us to share Calendars just fine. The added bonus was that it also allowed our Mac-heads to also participate with the Calendars.

| I did delete the entire key. I rebooted then tried Outlook again and same
issue. the key was recreated, as would be expected. I am running XP
professional. this was happening with SP2, and I did go ahead and install
SP3 in hopes that it might correct it, but get same result.

| Not many options for a Public Folder (PF) being used as a resource.
You could set it up as a "Moderated" PF, but this would require a
person to monitor and approve/deny each appointment.
You do not mention what version of Outlook client nor the version
of Exchange Server. This information can help tremendously towards

| Outlook does it because the line length for plain text is 76 char (tools,
options, mail format tab, international button - wrap at xx option).
You can also change the format before sending - Options tab - switch to
plain text. The link won't be 'hot' unless you enter or space after the url.
AFAIK, there is no way to make IE call up an HTML message form for the link.

| Any time I see the word Norton, big red flags go up. If you have NIS
scanning your email, you very likely have found your culprit. Try
uninstalling Norton, running their debris removal tool to clear out all the
crud the uninstaller leaves behind, then do a custom re-install without any
of the email scanning features. Email scanning is redundant, it does
nothing but cause problems... |
