Joe, You can create a search folder with a filter that shows only
Active business contacts. Since Search Folders are always kept up to
date, though, you may notice some performance degradation. If so, and
it bothers you, it's easy enough to remove the Search Folder.

Another option is to export the inactive contacts, or the backup the
entire database, then delete them inactive contacts. That way, you can
always import them (perhaps even to a new, blank database) should you
need them.
