| Thanks, the "CLR" error messages have stopped. All seems okay now. I also
deleted the folders "Business Contact Manager" under My Documents and under
\Docments and Settings\Neil\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft. I've
shut down Outlook and started Outlook a couple of times and have not had any
errors.

| I have that set up now, but that only pertains to the business contact
manager data. Emails, tasks ,calander and non bcm contacts do not sync with
that process.
Any other ideas?

appear in the in the add and remove list that do not actually appear in the
columns or on reports.

| Running for a few weeks and all relatively okay except vast amount of time to
index large Outlook PST files.
For some reason on start up Outlook Business Contact Manger created (By
itself) in excess of 10,000 reminders on start up. It created a reminder for
every linked email.
Any reasons why. I had to wait until it finished creating the reminder list
and then dismiss all... |

| Sometimes a user may NOT want every single email linked to a business account
contact. The default appears to have all emails linked.
The overhead on systems is significant and it may be that only some emails
are required to be linked. That is emails relating to a topic or task or
opportunity etc.

| The concept of having to have separate Business Contacts might be looked at
more closely.
There is no way to assign a “Contact” to a Business account. You can only
assign “Business Contacts” to Business accounts.
It would be advantageous to have the ability two have one contacts list OR
the ability to have multiple contacts lists in the drop down at the top of

| The has to be a way to update or sync details between a contact in outlook
and a contact in Business Contact Manager.
It is extremely frustrating having to change or update two contacts. The
first contact address or detail is updated in Outlook contacts and then if
that contact is in BCM you have to open and edit.
Surely a check box in Outlook contacts to say it is a contact... |

| I have a client that lost his BCM database during a format and restore
proceedure. I was called in to restore these files if at all possible.
I have located the actual .ldf & .mdf files for the MSDE database and
made the attempt to attach them to the new BCM installation. I

| Hi there,
When I export an oppotunity funnel to excel, I have a problem :
- my "probability" percentages are multiplied by 10 or 100 (randomly ?)
- my "total revenue" estimation is multiplied by 10,000
Any idea ?
(at the beginning, I had the problem with the .xlsm trick to enable
macro and thus a communication pipe between BCM & excel 2007)

Can you try cleaning the "Foms" folder in c:\document and
settings\userName\Local
Settings\Application Data\Microsoft. There is also a help topic for this in

issues with Outlook BCM. One of the most annoying is the INABILITY to easily
duplicate an existing contact record from a company to add a new contact name
inclusive of new extensions, address codes and etc. Has anyone found a simple

| I tried with auto-linking turned off. No luck, I get the same errors. I also
noticed that the BCM menus in the Outlook menu bar are not there when offline.
I checked in Help-Disabled items, BCM is not disabled, but it's not working
all the same.

about the settings and customizations that BCM makes in SQL Server when
installing?
I have a hard time believing that MS would release a PIM that would fail if
one of the two symbiotic components had to be refreshed on its own.

| We've just got a new server with SBS 2008 and I'm trying to get BCM going
again.
Had it all running fine on SBS2003 using the database tool. I did a backup
of the database before migrating server, and have installed the Database Tool
on the new server ok.
Have created a new database and restored it, and it told me everything was
okay. But I can't get any of the client computers to... |
