| This is a problem that keeps re-occurring. if anyone could help, it
would be great. I have a lot of categories and contacts on BCM and
after working with individual contacts for a while the whole list of
contacts disappears from the screen and then I have to click back into
Business Contacts and find where I was before. Is there a limit on
the number of contacts you can have and... |

Here is an odd one. I have created a new contact and want to add my email
history (both in and out) to that contact. I have isloated the emails. I
click on Email Auto-Link. It finds the contact fine. I highlight the contact
and ensure there is a tick in the box. I click OK. All well and good. I go to
the contact and the email does not appear in the history box. All future

| I had to do something similar. First of all, if you have imported the data
already, open the Biz Contact card and click on User-Defined fields on the
Ribbon Bar. During the import, it is possible BCM created the missing fields
and populated them. They only show up under User-Defined view
Otherwise, you need to create the user-defined fields for some of the info
you want to capture.... |

| and although I have created some, the option is greyed out and cannot be
accessed. I have created a drop down list with many items in it that I want
to add multiple times without haveing to recreate it each time.

| I know that there are many complaints about the ability to use follow up
flags with BCM. My issue is a variation on the theme. I set a follow up
flag on an opportunity, and then complete the follow up. Marking the flag
"complete" appears not to remove it (just removes the date due); I can't
delete the flag without removig the entire entry for th opportunity.
Any thoughts anybody?... |

| Sounds like you have old unfinished installation files and setup info lying
around. Try using a good quality registry cleaner eg Registry Mechanic, and
some basic housekeeping like clearing all your temporary files and try
again.

What is your Operating System and Service Pack Level
Do you have Windows Update switched on and is it up to date.
Have you got the latest service packs for Office 2007
Make sure all of the above are at the latest level and try again

understand the possibilities, it should improve the overall communication
and service to his clients. Means emails, phone calls etc can be linked to

| Recently my tasks throughout a shared database stopped working
properly. When a user tries to assign a task, they get a pop-up
message saying "Business Contact Manager for outlook could not
complete your last action or actions. Please try again."
The weird thing is that it still emails the task to the person it was
assigned to, but does not show up in the history for the account/... |

| BCM2003 and BCM2007 have different database structures so it's a case of
never the twain shall meet.
If you cannot get everyone upgraded, then you might consider downgrading
your own to 2003.

I initially started entering my dad's (attorney) old DOS roledex contact
info into Contacts (MS Off Prof 2007). Then, we needed clients categorized
for letters, so I started entering into BCM to use categories and marketing

Thanks for your reply.
The problem with the solution you recommended is that the contact that is
created is created with the fields from Outlook, not Business Contact
Manager. (In other words, there are a number of fields which are available in
a BCM contact that aren't available in a standard Outlook contact.)
Any ideas how to work around this problem?
