| I use Outlook 2007 with Business Contact Manager on Windows Vista Ultimate. I
have setup my outlook the way that I am receiving only header of the
messages, I delete spam, choose messages for download and finally I click on
Send/Receive to download messages / delete spam. When download process is
completed I am receiving error message:

| I found the solution in case anybody else ever gets this message. If you are
ever upgrading from SBA 06 and try to integrate the upgraded OA file with
BCM, you need to make sure multi-user is disabled or you will get that
message. After integrating with BCM you can then enable multi-user again.

| The way we have set up BCM we will add opportunities to Business Contacts.
When creating the opportunity and selecting the "link" (link to an account
or a business contact) it always defaults to Accounts. This is a bit
frustrating. Is it possible to change so that when linking the opportunity
the Business Contacts are displayed immediatley?

| We recently upgraded out current system of SBA 2006/BCM 03 to the 2007
versions of Office Acounting and BCM. Since the collation is different, I
couldn't join the two upgraded databases which is crazy because now I have
to export a large database with a lot of business note history and then
re-import it into a new BCM 2007 file. After finally realizing that if I

| When copying contacts from my normal Outlook 2007 to BCM I get an error
message for some of them saying that the recoerd cannot be copied because
"data in hidden field..... currently has a length of 8775. This exceeds the
maximum allowed length of 8000".
Anyone out there that can help me to resolve this please?

I did search the board prior to posting this. I only found one mention of
this. I was hoping to get some replies on experiences people have had using
the scanning equip and software to make sure it is SEAMLESS with BCM.

imported okay except for the phone numbers. I would like to be able to see
them with parenthesis around the area code and a hypen between the third and

| I also was getting a similar msg to Brad's and Outlook would always close.
Citing BCM. I didn't even know what BCM was. I couldn't delete it through the
Control Panel or via MS Office and started using Outlook Express till I could
fix it.
After reading the comments here I have taken it out of my system like Brad
did so hooray my Outlook is working again. What a relief.

Contacts? I have tried two ways, both have problems.
I am using SMSOfficer, but that requires me to pay twice...I have to pay

| Thanks. That is a good program, I bought it and returned it. It has one
flaw (I think anyway). If you have 5000 BCM contacts and only want/need 500
on your cell (like a category called cell), you will get 5000 contacts in
your phone. It is all or nothing.

| Have Office 07 enterprise on XP…
In Outlook 03 BCM, there was a menu command to make a new contact based on
the open contact which essentially populated many of the fields and you
entered the rest (like for adding a new person at the same company).
In BCM I see how to do this for account record, but not for bcm contacts
attached to an account. Any ideas? It is easy to do in 07... |

create a user defined field for opportunities or projects and add the alarm
function to it.
Also, when viewing my list of opportunities, they are divided either by

Well i have had additional success today.....I converted the file to the xml
and read the contents...almost 8 Million lines of txt. One of the company
users had his name
in the contact list and every email that he was sent was copied to the bcm
file.
I suspect that this is probably an import Timeout issue as the number of
emails went from LIne 937213 to 4715722. a big chunk.... |

| run scan pst more than once to fix problems. It's one of those quirks - it
works better of you keep doing it until there are no errors. 3 times is
common.

a synchronisation erros. If you do a help search for "conflicts folder" it
provides with some info and the folder does exist it's just that it doesn't
display???? The help does not identify how you get it to display.
