Thanks for your reply. Wouldn't you know it - it works now!! Between now
and when I put the note into this discussion group, I did a reinstall of BCM
2007 because Outlook kept crashing. As a result of doing the reinstall, it
must have fixed it. I guess the lesson learned - don't underestimate the
benefits of doing a reinstall.

| I am a recent newcomer to Outlook 2007 and Business Contact Manager (BCM).
While working with my "Contacts" I am able to create a new contact from the
same company as one of my exisiting contacts. This is simply done by
selecting the existing Contact, and then selecting "Actions", followed by
"New contact from same company".
I can't figure out how to do the same thing within BCM.... |

| I am having a issue in expanding and collapsing groups. I go to the
BCM contacts, click on view and then i click on expand/collapse groups
and then I try to collapse or expand the BCM contacts in the category
view. This results in Not responding state of Outlook. But we can
click on any category and click on collapse all or expand all and that
works.

Exactly what "general screen" are you referring to when viewing your contacts?
Your comments are too vague to generate effective help here. Are you viewing
your Business contacts in a folder view? Are you viewing them as listed
under a consolidated Account record view? Help us out here and maybe an idea
for how to fix can be forth coming.

You're close and Luther's close. Once you activate BCM, you've got to have
at least one database active. So, create a new one, and when you go back to
the Manage Database dialog, you'll see your original available for deletion.

the same profile”. Saying it works with Exchange implies that it works with
Exchange and it does not. It works alongside Exchange with a few limited

and contact information that I'd like to back up though. Is there a way to

You need to enable the "contact linking on all forms" option. This
workaround will make this easier for you. Go into Outlook and click on
Tools>Options>Contact Options. In the Contacts options dialogue check mark
the box under Contact linking to show contact linking on all forms. This
used to be the default setting in previous versions of Outlook but 2007
requires this... |

there were 2 downloads on the page. I thought the second one was just a
mirrow, but it is not, it is the separate installer that contains BCM. I had
