Have downloaded the BCM updates from your web site. This time it worked
when created a new database.
However, I now I get the error message "The information store could not be
opened"????

| I think I've found a solution to our problem, Kesh. It's a little involved,
but not terribly technical.
Start by starting the Task Manager (easiest to use Ctr/Alt/Del and selecting
Task Manager from the list of options). Once you're in Task Manager, click
on the Services Tab. In the lower right corner you'll see a "Services"
button. Keep this windows upen during the next step.... |

I installed Pocket Mirror Pro v.2.2.2 from Chapura. It was flawless and
syncs BCM Contacts as well as Outlook Contacts, plus some other files and
programs. The customer support is also excellent. Retails about $50 and I
got a discount as a repeat customer, even tho my previous purchase was over 5
years ago.

one Opp per contact and add each bottle to that same Opp. Or, you could
integrate with Office Accounting and track each invoice, but then you'd need
to have each contact be an Account instead of a Contact because that's how

Check out Search Folders. You can specify criteria that will create a
dynamic group in the Search Folder. Every time you want to send out an
email blast, just use the contacts in the Search Folder.

I use the Alladin label/envelope add-on which works great with BCM. You just
sort by category, then select all of the contacts in the category (use
shift key) then print.

Hoping that someone can help. In ACT!, I had created activities for
contacts, I could see the activities for a particular day, would do a lookup
the contacts associated with the activities & then would do email blasts.
So now my question is: How do I select a group of contacts based upon a
selection criteria that is a series of tasks?

| I agree. I installed this in the hopes that it would reduce the number of
different tools needed to run my consulting practice. But the continuing
irritation of the uncontrollable reminders convinced me that this was one
'aid' that I did not need. It looks helpful, superficially, but getting

Can you go to the Microsoft Update site and check for BCM V2 updates?
If that does not answer your question, just try configuring BCM on a new
Outlook profile to see if that solves the problem.

With BCM loaded into Outlook automatically-tools>forms>design a form>look in
Personal Library, select Biz Contact and up it comes. The first page (tab) is
grayed out and has the unable msg. The tabs are "normal" and there are five
or six.

| TJ - In My Documents I see three items relating to BCM. I see a Folder
called 'Business Contact Manager' but there is actually nothing inside of
this folder (I think it may be one I created for some reason but never used).
Other than that I see two text documents called BCM_impexp and BCM_cusomer
respectively...

Finally migrated from Act! to BCM 2007. In Act! we could click on the
contact form & press Control C and then be able to Paste into an email, or
other application the basic data from the contact - useful when requesting a
quote from a principal. Is there any way to do this in BCM?

1. Is the e-mail address in the contact valid? If the e-mail address is
invalid, none of the e-mails will show up in the history of the business
contact.
2. If it is valid, is e-mail auto-link disabled by any chance?
3. If you open a new business contact, by default, email autolink button is
disabled until you save the contact.

have to duplicate every report and dashboard view for the unique types of

I use to use ACT 6 for several years before changing to BCM 2007, here's
what I found works for me with grouping.
while it's not the same as ACT, you can use the Contact Rating dropdown box,
or the Area of interest dropdown box to add additional groupings to your
contacts.
Edit the dropdown list to suit.
