| Trying to do mail merge with BCM. In Word, clicked the Start Mail Merge
button, then the Select Recipients button, then chose Select from Outlook
Contacts. I then get a dialogue box stating “Unable to obtain list of tables
from the data source.”! Any suggestion on how to correct this?... |

Have downloaded the BCM updates from your web site. This time it worked
when created a new database.
However, I now I get the error message "The information store could not be
opened"????
So it still will not let me use it. Do not get any menu options for it either

| I think I've found a solution to our problem, Kesh. It's a little involved,
but not terribly technical.
Start by starting the Task Manager (easiest to use Ctr/Alt/Del and selecting
Task Manager from the list of options). Once you're in Task Manager, click
on the Services Tab. In the lower right corner you'll see a "Services"
button. Keep this windows upen during the next step.... |

I installed Pocket Mirror Pro v.2.2.2 from Chapura. It was flawless and
syncs BCM Contacts as well as Outlook Contacts, plus some other files and
programs. The customer support is also excellent. Retails about $50 and I
got a discount as a repeat customer, even tho my previous purchase was over 5
years ago.

dynamic group in the Search Folder. Every time you want to send out an

I use the Alladin label/envelope add-on which works great with BCM. You just
sort by category, then select all of the contacts in the category (use
shift key) then print.

Hoping that someone can help. In ACT!, I had created activities for
contacts, I could see the activities for a particular day, would do a lookup
the contacts associated with the activities & then would do email blasts.
So now my question is: How do I select a group of contacts based upon a
selection criteria that is a series of tasks?

Can you go to the Microsoft Update site and check for BCM V2 updates?
If that does not answer your question, just try configuring BCM on a new
Outlook profile to see if that solves the problem.

Personal Library, select Biz Contact and up it comes. The first page (tab) is

called 'Business Contact Manager' but there is actually nothing inside of
this folder (I think it may be one I created for some reason but never used).
Other than that I see two text documents called BCM_impexp and BCM_cusomer

other application the basic data from the contact - useful when requesting a

invalid, none of the e-mails will show up in the history of the business
contact.
2. If it is valid, is e-mail auto-link disabled by any chance?

I use to use ACT 6 for several years before changing to BCM 2007, here's
what I found works for me with grouping.
while it's not the same as ACT, you can use the Contact Rating dropdown box,
or the Area of interest dropdown box to add additional groupings to your
contacts.
Edit the dropdown list to suit.
