| I can't find an answer or even anyone else who will admit to having this
issue. I enabled email auto linking for all my sales contacts. Now when I
have the BCM contacts window open it flickers something fierce and is
actually making me nauseous. Performance is also very slow now. I disabled
it and the flickering stops. However, I need some of the contacts to auto

| I believe this is a problem with Outlook 2007 not releasing Exchange objects
from memory, then triggering the Exchange open limits.
It may be with Outlook directly, but can not say for sure, but what I can
say is that this is certainly a problem with any COM add-ins or interop code
using Outlook 2007.

| yahoooo ! it's works and i found the problem
The answer was that the Business Contacts facility was disabled.
I went into "About Outlook" and found the
disabled item, enabled it, and the function now works.
very easy, isnt' it ?

C:\Users\"User Name"\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Business Contact Manager folder?
Did you run Business Contact Manager first use wizard after that?

the database files to the new profile, but BCM will not open them. It

I'm not sure if this is the answer you are looking for or not but here are
some suggestions. I just set up my own contact manager database. When it
came to setting up the users one thing I discovered is that the user must
have a password. The user must be setup on your laptop and on the desktop
with the same user id and password.

| I somehow found a way to add an additional tab onto a clients records and
load fields and recordable data. However I want to be able that add that tab
with data fields to every client as a template, so that it automatically
shows even on new clients being added. Is it possible generically and if so
how do we do it.

| Thanks very much for the reply. Sure, I understand that I'll need BCM on
the laptop - my real question is do I have to pay for another copy or is
there another option? I can't find any reference to this anywhere in the MS
publicity material. I can't try to install from a disk as this was a
purchased download - no setup file is available.

The software suite is installed and everything is running fine except there
is no business contact manager. Not listed in add ins as the previous

| When I click on the pre-set sort by Assigned View on any of my 4 computers
connected to one database there is no sort. I have recreated that sort using
the custom view but it does not stay that way once I close down. Is this a
know issue or is there a way to save a sort? The sort works on the assigned
to field it just does not save that way.

Me too, had the problem with customized views reverting back to default. Try
this, it worked for me (thanks Lon Orenstein!):
Customize a view by clicking on Views, Current View, Define View. Choose
one of those (I like to make a copy of a current one and then Modify) and
the changes you make will be saved.

there a way that I can scan the business cards and transfer them into BCM

I want to set the "Activities" settings for the contacts in BCM. However,
when I look at the "Activities" tab in Properties and try to set email, for
example, I get an error message "The operation failed. The object could not
be found."
