| There is no 3rd party sync for BCM, and the one that is delivered by MS does
not work. I bout Chapura and they refunded my money as it would not even
sync.
The sync from MS will download the contacts but does not sync with the PC
(so the alternative below is just as good) ALSO you CANNOT search names by
typing an initial like you do with outlook contacts in the phone. SO I have... |

| The reminder thin in BCM tied with Taks are a joke, just plain non-usable in
anything. A flag???? doesn't work
Just make an appointment that is reoccuring for that reminder. It works
just fine.

| Very Much a NO. It is a very immature product goaing as far as not offering
features we've had for 15 years and even diabling active features that are in
Outlook but not available in BCM. The SQL is unstable and slows production
machines. But be yond stability it CANNOT do any of the things a CRM does.

Our database contains currently over 6000 contacts but I presume, that lots
of them are meanwhile out-dated. Is there any change to select those who

| I removed SP3 and it's back to normal now, will avoid major update in the
future in case of any "Intentional design change" that cause problem to work!

| If I had a choice to select the the type of backup , I would prefer
exporting the data out as *.bcm file . I have had fewer users report issue
when exporting data to this format

| I am having the same problem. It seems to happen after a pop up window like
the reminder window pops up. I have this happening to all the text fields in
both the accounts display and the contacts display. The only way I have
found to clear it is to close and re-open bcm.

| Thanks for the response. I always thought the BCN would keep a full record
of the e-mail even if I deleted it from the mail portion of Outlook. I
remember doing some tests a number of years ago and that was the case.
I know that in order to link attachments to BCN they had to be "posted" to
the BCN contact or account. In terms of my database I am under 750mb.

within a given category at one time. Usually, you should be able to highlight
all contacts you want to e-mail, right-click, and select "new message to

created the mailing labels in Publisher, it prompted me to start a BCM

| No problem at all. The tech was having trouble also as the log did not give
enough information about the problem either.
He had run across a similar problem before though with a different add on
(Yahoo toolbar) so it appears to be an issue with the search engine tool
bars, 2003 version and Vista security combined.

| I'm having the same issue. My client has a new desktop with BCM 2007, but her
laptop has BCM 2003. Upgrading her laptop is not in the budget, so she needs
a way to transfer data from BCM 2007 to 2003. I tried the change version
number trick and she was able to import contact data, but not e-mail history.
Is there a work around for this?

| I am using the trial version of Outlook 2007 with BCM. It imports the data
from my Act! database for about 20 minutes and then quits, leaving the
following error in the log:
Type,Message,RowKey
Contact, System.OutOfMemoryException: Exception of type

| The timer in the phone log is great but I dont' see a timer in tasks, email
or any other window. This is one of the many horrible limitations to BCM.

| On a new computer Using Vista with fresh repair installation of Outlook. BCM
installs fine, however when I select contacts tab, the BCM disappears from
the menu bar. Later a return to the mail tab provokes "BCM could not
complete your last action or actions" a common error message. I have
reinstalled Outlook 2007 and BCM and updated both programs with current

when you reload the defualt view returns.

| Error 1053. I have read all of the various threads and do not see a
solution. Keep getting a message during BCM install that setup failed to
install. Checked the MBSsetup logs and do not see any errors. In fact log
says BCM was successfully installed.
Problem seems to be with the SQL Server. Checked the even viewer and could
not find any resolution using MS support events.asp... |

Well done, I was looking for a complicated solution but it turns out that
all I had to do was to re-index the database. I did export and back up the
data as a precaution but it wasn't necessary to rebuild with an import. The
error messages have now stopped in the application log and the PC is now
stable.
My only issue is why should a database error cause the PC tp... |
