| Yes - you can download it from the Microsoft website.
I remember having to very seriously HUNT for it last time I needed to
download it, which would have been some time ago. When Office 2007 came
out, they hid a lot of the add-ons for earlier versions of Office.
Try digging around on the Microsoft site and see if you can find it. Sorry

| Is their a way to print a "lead sheet" in BCM? I run a business where I hand
out leads to my salespeople on paper. I need to be able to print the lead
sheet in a customized form, or at least be able to list the data on the
printed sheet that I need. For example, cusomers info, numbers, and
appointment times and dates.

1. The conversion from ACT to BCM supplied by MS has two big problems --
the date of the notes gets changed to the date of the import, and a Call
scheduled for the future gets entered as a Phone Log in history instead of a
Task. The best conversion is done by www.act-to-bcm.com but they're pricey.

I've upgraded to Office 2007, and I notice that all my categories are gone
from the master list.
If I open an existing business contact that had a category, it's still
there - but it's marked as not being on the master list.
The Microsoft Help documentation seems to indicate that the master list
*should* include the categories I had created under the old version of

I had the same problem and mine was just disabled! I clicked on the help and
seleted the disabled items and enabled bcm restarted outlook now OK.

Download SQL Management Studio Express and it will allow you to Detach the
BCM db from its C:\ location and move it to somewhere else, then Reattach.

odd behavior or missing features (in my opinion).
Searching:
- It will NOT FIND ANY matching field entries that are drop-down list entries.

friendly? In my current CRM software, all I do is click on an AND or OR
radio button after each filter criteria string.

some names. When I begin to type a name, I'd say 70% of the time it comes up.

| I've had experience with a database that large. Are you using Remote
Desktop because you don't want your data synchronized to the outside users?
Giving them an offline copy of BCM would give you all better response but
they would have a copy of your database on their hard drive. Other than
that, BCM would work just fine.

Currently we do not expose the From/To/Bcc of an linked email in a field
that can be sorted off of. You can add the a column for Notes (from the All
Journal Fields), and this will show most of the header of the linked email.
The Note column can not be sorted however. We have noted this issue and

Active business contacts. Since Search Folders are always kept up to
date, though, you may notice some performance degradation. If so, and
it bothers you, it's easy enough to remove the Search Folder.
Another option is to export the inactive contacts, or the backup the
entire database, then delete them inactive contacts.... |
