| I am using Outlook 2007 with BCM and when inside an email if I hit
"link to record" all of the emails addresses contained in the email
are listed as "link to" choices. Those that are in my Business
Contact List are checked by default and those that are not are not
checked. If I check those contact records for them will be created
automatically. How can I get this same functionality when... |

Well i have had additional success today.....I converted the file to the xml
and read the contents...almost 8 Million lines of txt. One of the company
users had his name
in the contact list and every email that he was sent was copied to the bcm
file.
I suspect that this is probably an import Timeout issue as the number of
emails went from LIne 937213 to 4715722. a big chunk.... |

| When I send an email using the "New History Item" on an Account in BCM, the
email does not show up on the History screen. Why is this? What is the best
way to do this?
Also, is there a way to allocate a time duration to history items such as
emails, tasks, etc.? I need something that tracks time for billing clients.... |

| run scan pst more than once to fix problems. It's one of those quirks - it
works better of you keep doing it until there are no errors. 3 times is
common.

| Hi Luther, thank you for your assistance. It appears to be associated with
a synchronisation erros. If you do a help search for "conflicts folder" it
provides with some info and the folder does exist it's just that it doesn't
display???? The help does not identify how you get it to display.

a lot of the features in 2003 either do not work in 2007, or there is a labor

| Hi,
When working with the account list, at one point the display of the bus.
contacts changes and is messed up - in this little list of the account, I
cannot see the business contact name anymore, just their title or phone
number. At the same time, the display of the history items changes and also
there, the display lacks of information i saw previously.

| I have a large number of contacts that I placed in name order rather than
company name order. Now I want to change this to company name order and have
made the change in the Tools, Options, Contacts, Options section but this
only applies to new contacts. Can I make this change to the existing contacts
in one fell swoop and not have to open each manually? I use Outlook 2003.

| Here's how I fixed this problem. Before this happened to me I was receiving
the following message when I started Outlook: "BCM cannot connect to shared
database. Do you want to work offline?" I clicked no, and that's when I
received "The set of folders cannot be opened. Store not configured."

| I have Outlook 2007 with BCM. I maintain a separate "contacts" folder in
addition to the "business contacts" folder under BCM. When I create an
appointment on my calendar and try to link it to someone in my "contacts"
folder, the dialog box only opens BCM folders including the "business
accounts" and "business contacts" folders. How do I get it to also open the

E-mail Auto-linking dialog, the "Sent Items" folder for my archive file does
not appear. All other folders in the archive file are present for selection,
as are all the folders from my "Personal Folders", including "Sent Items".

After Applying SP1 to BCM, the entry in add/remove programs changes to
Business contact Manager for Outlook 2007 sp1. So you can uninstall it. You
can reinstall BCM from the Office CD2 or web download

| Hi Doug,
You can attach any file format to a project by going to detials ribbon
section of your project.
Currently you cannot create a new business contact from an email. But you
can always create a outlook contact and then drag it to your business contact
folder.

a new email from my Inbox. I went back to the contactto check the history
and the email is not showing up. Do I need to initiate the email from the
contact? I thought it was supposed to link any sent or received email.

| tried importing contacts x Lotus Organiser 6.1 but field mapping problems ;
exported some as Vcard (vcf) - now when i try to send out a vCard from
Outlook
i am getting a Lotus contact Vcard icon/symbol ( i think) next to the
contacts name.vcf in the attachements box of the E mailer . This can only be
opened by my Lotus Organiser Password !!! Can this be rectified please ?

| When I use BCM and go into a contact and try to send an e-mail if I attach a
document to the e-mail the intended person will get my e-mail's but will not
get my attachements. If I just e-mail the same person out of a regular e-mail
(not through their contact account) and add the attachement they will get the
attachment just fine. Any suggestions.... |

are you the only user? Do you get any error messages as you're
customizing?

| You can link, but not autolink, email messages to opportunities. The
reason is that autolink matches the email address in the email message
to one of the addresses in the business contact or account.
Opportunities do not have an email address.
