| I assign people to accounts, but don't want them to worry about the
assignment of contacts associated to accounts in Business Contact Manager. I
would like to stop BCM from automatically assigning the record creator as the
assigned to person for a contact. It's confusing because the account has
one person assigned and if someone else adds a contact name to account, then

Can you tell me why on a report of Business Contacts I can't use the COMPANY
name field? (or at least I can see it listed on the MODIFY report screen).

| I'm afraid there have been so many posts since I put this one up that it's
been lost in the shuffle. I'm still looking for an answer if anyone out
there knows. Has anyone installed a retail version of Office 2007 including
Outlook with BCM and been able to access it through Remote Desktop / Terminal

| ACT has a few very good editing tools.
The first is the ability to edit a field in the list view. It was great,
as I didn't have to open individual records.
The second is duplicating or changing a field in multiple records. Could
just do a look up say for clients and change a situation.
Can I do either one in BCM2007... |

| I tryed to send an excel file in the body and as an attachment from a BCM list.
It did not get out of the outbox, and it can not be deleted.

previously (I'm adding this via MS' Office "Post a suggestion" link) - just
adding a suggestion that the BCM uninstall should also remove the SQL VSS
Writer application if also uninstalling the associated BCM SQL database (or
at least prompt the user indicating they will have to do this manually - I

| I am using outlook 2003 and have installed business contact manager. However
for some reason when I start up Oultlook, I am unable to see theBusiness
Contact manager tab abd therefore BCM is not avaiable.
I did a repair on office, re-installed bcm, but still cannot get it to come

| When I receive an email that has an attachement in Outlook 2007 (that has
Business Contact Manager - that I don't use) I get an error message:-
Blue Bar:- Busineess Contact Manager for Outlook
Message:- The object does not support this method
After about 10 minutes if I re-click on the message the attachement will be
available.
Any ideas? it is very annoying.

| I had a system crash and restored. Had to reinstall Office. Now trying to
reinstall BCM and don't get very far. Setup Wizard stops and gives pop-up.
The error string from the log file is: Error writing to file:
Microsoft\NetEnterpriseServers.ExceptionMessageBox.dll Verify that you have
access to that directory. Error number 1304.... |

| I can add User-Defined Fields but there are many fields that came with the
program which I don't need and want to eliminate (i.e.Payment Status,Contact

| Here it is in mid-2009 and seems like nothing is happening with BCM. This
product is is totally useless as a CRM, has slowed down my pc horribly and
since I have older data in Outlook, requires that I maintain two complete
records to get history on contact info.
My only question before I remove it finally, is will the older Outloook
2002/2003 functionality be returned to Outlook... |

| i am having the same problem, i have just been in a chat with a
tecnical member of staff from microsoft and after half an hour (plus
an extra hour before when i was trying to work it out) he said he'd
have to charge me 34.95 as it's a lot of manual work??? i said they
shouldn't have an option for customising your view if you can't

has the BUSINESS address info eventhough HOME address was selected as the
