I think you are on to something. I associated my liveid with my WindowsXP login and I have since been able to view my coworkers calendar and Outlook has been reporting that it is keeping it up to date. Sorry about the duplication... i thought that i had delete the previous message. Problem solved! User had created a calendar in his pst, so the meeting requests were going into his pst calendar instead of his main calendar. Many thanks for your advice....

Another thing to check (besides what Diane has offered) is where the "system calendar" or "default calendar" resides. Outlook uses what is called System or Default Folders. The Calendar folder that is firing the automated stuff is your designated "Default or System Folder" for the Calendar. I'm thinking that you have perhaps, a different calendar that is the designated system folder...

Yes, the mail server could be removing the tnef data from the message. another option would be to use Outlook 2007 and publish the calendar to the internet using a webDAV server or hosted service. We publish ours by enabling webDAV on our webserver and phpicalendar. The phpicalendar will read your .ics calendar file automatically and convert it to a web view which is much nicer than the defaul saving to a web page. In addition, the calendar is updated...
