| Won't help. It doesn't matter whether you start in Outlook or Word. The
procedure is the same and requires the same steps. All mail merges are done
in Word. Following the correct steps is always required. That's why I posted
them.

| The two suggestions made in this thread depend on your outlook version. More
comfortable, and independent from the used Outlook version, does it work
with Category Manager (link in my signature). You can import, and export
your categories, and add them easily from items to the Master Category List.

| Thanks for this. The answer was , as I suspected, quite simple. However, this
has saved me hours of frustration. As a matter of interest, I just copied the
NME field and the E MAIL field from Excel and it went across in perfect
order. I didn't have to enter any semi colons. It did it for me.

Every properly configured installation of Outlook will have the option to
"Add to Outlook Contacts" in the context menu.

using, but I hate to tell you this, but that is awfully clumbsy. The whole
point of having multiple email addresses is to USE them. Why if I send to a
single person, the 'create new message' works but doesn't work for

| If they are in the 1 folder, you have them grouped by a field and they are
"split" into 2 groups. Turn on the Group By Box (from the Advanced
Toolbar), and see what Field you have them grouped by. Drag the field out
of the Group By Box to ungroup.

| OK, I got it figured out thanks to the questions asked by Diane. I renamed
the cleared the check box next to Cached Exchange Mode, closed outlook,
renamed the .ost files, and restarted outlook and all the contacts showed up.
