addresses and items that you have created in your Contact Folders. We still
have no idea to which type of item you are referring when you use a term
like "contact list" that has no meaning to anyone else.

| Clear all of your "named ranges" in your Excel worksheet and create only one
that encompasses both the header row (first row with column names) and all
rows that you want to import - no more - no less.
Alternative to dealing with named ranges is save your Excel worksheet as a
CSV file and import that into Outlook instead.

| Answer to immediate question/problem is that the PST file needs to be copied
to a hard drive and the "Read-Only" attribute removed.
If you've also "exported" to a PST file with the intent of "importing" that
resulting file - absolutely wrong approach. Not necessary and ill-advised.
Can only lead to potential problems either now and/or in the future. Simply

Make sure the Contact folder is enabled as an email address book. Right
click the Contacts folder, choose Properties then Outlook Address Book. Is

| That's already well known behavior that is end user error, and is not what
the OP described. You failed to set your default dialing location, and
Outlook must have that information so it knows how to mask your phone
numbers.

| Then you should post how you configured the Outlook Address Book for this
profile and how you created the contacts for this profile. I would guess
that you migrated these contacts from an earlier data file and did so
incorrectly. You have left out far too much information for anyone to solve
this in a newsgroup.

| Pay attention, now. I don't know how else to tell you this.
There is no data in the address book view, and you must not attempt to
manipulate any data from this view. All Outlook data resides in Contacts
Folders. You must identify where you actually created these DL's and
manipulate them from that folder.

| Outlook does not use an address book. The file you need is your Personal
Folders file (*.pst) It's where all the mail, calendar, contacts etc are
stored.

| Reinstalling Outlook won't help anything.
If you are not running against Exchange Server, why did you add it as a
transport in your profile? You should start by creating a new Outlook
profile that contains only the correct mail transports and your data file.
Make sure you know the name an location of your Outlook data file so you can
add it to your new profile.

| BTW, I don't think it will map contacts, only meetings. It's pretty cool
