Yesterday a strange phenomenon occurred. I noted that, although I had not
recently sent any new emails nor had I tried to send a large file, a message
popped up indicating that I needed to wait before shutting down so that a
message in the outbox could be sent. I went to the outbox and there was no
message. In spite of that, the outbox indicated that there was an unsent
file in it. I checked again; no message. I shut Outlook down and brought it
back up, but the indicator remained and the warning again occurred at
shutdown that there was an unsent message in the outbox. I rebooted the
computer -- no change. I ran "detect and repair" -- no change. The phantom
message continues on. Any ideas out there?
