| Thanks Milly, I did try rebooting with no success (see my email to Joceyln).
My concern is that this may happen again and I will once again lose all of my
personal files on Outlook. I have now installed Outlook backup assume this
can be downloaded to disc and reinstalled if this problem occurs again?

| On the left pane of Outlook, make sure you are in Folder List. Now can you
see all of the Archived folders?
Do you have the relevant Archive folder showing? Right click it and check
it's Properties | Advanced and see where it is located. Is that the same as
the location in my original question 3.?
Go see if you have more than 1 Archive.pst and some of them are not open -

| Sadly, Norton is so invasive that the only way to unhook it from email (or
pretty much anything else it's glommed onto) is to uninstall it. Even
though you've set it to not scan, its still running all your email through
it's proxy services. Try doing so and see if it fixes the problem. If it
does, you might want to consider replacing Norton with something like AVG or
Avast which don't... |

| I have experienced the same problem and I found that selecting
Microsort Office Word as the email editor elimitated the problem (in
Outlook 2003 it is selected by Tools, Options, Mail Format). I
remembered that I recently de-selected that option, and as soon as I

| Setup the virus/spam scanner to NOT SCAN email, either incoming or outgoing.
There is no need for email scanning in the first place. The first time you
try to do ANYTHING with an email attachment, print it, copy it, save it,
read it, or anything else, the resident part of ALL virus scanners will scan
it and NAIL it, if its infected. The only thing email scanning is really
good at doing... |

| That is only possible when you schedule the email by the article I referred
to. If you do it by your method you'll indeed get the time stamp of when you
pressed the Send button and not when it actually left your Outbox.

| You can't do it automatically for multiple messages since the Rules Wizard
and Junk E-mail filter work on messages individually as they are downloaded.
What are you trying to accomplish to multiple messages? You can highlight
and delete them permanently easily by holding down the Shift key while
deleting them

| It's stored now in a hidden message in your default calendar. No way to
access that without a third-party tool (or programming it yourself).
In OL07 every category can have one of twenty colors, I think by default
it's red. If you want to change the default (or none color at all) you
can/must go into the All Categories dialog after the import and edit each
category one by one.... |
