| Hi,
I exported my calendar data into a csv file and see that all the
non-ascii characters are wrong : the character set has to be manually
adjusted to . ISO-8859-x doesn't work. Which surprising character set
does Outlook 2003 use when exporting ?

| No, I didn't try changing the mouse. I did have them try going through
Microsoft Word and just click on the drop down menu and click the send to>
Mail Recipient. After doing this it only opens one New E-mail message.

| Note that there is no 2GB limit when you are using UNICODE pst-files which
is the default when creating a new pst-file in Outlook 2003 and Outlook
2007. The default limit for UNICODE pst-files is 20GB so you should be fine.

| Which mail account type are you using?
Where is the security certificate referring to? To you corporate mail
account perhaps?
Run Windows Update and choose to do a Custom update. In the Optional
updates, check if there is an update for root certificates which you haven't
installed yet.

| There is no Send button as you have not configured Outlook with any email
account.
You are using Hotmail via the web interface?
Set your default mail provider to Hotmail in Windows;
Control Panel-> Internet Options-> tab Programs

repair, assuming the repair tool window doesnt open at the default data file
location.
The Control Panel, Mail Applet is merely a 'window' that enables you to

| I use Outlook 2003 (with Word set as my editor for emails). Everything works
fine until I exit Outlook. When I exit my cpu ramps up for a few seconds and
then an error message pops up saying that Word encountered an error and needs
to close. It gives a message to recover the word document (which is
meaningless since there is no document to recover) and gives me the option to

mailbox.
When I have both the mailboxes open in Outlook, deleting mails from either

| OS: Vista 32 bit
Outlook 2007 was working for about a month, after Office 2007 Enterprise
installed.
Stopped opening, I have used scanpst.exe and it worked for awhile, then back
to not responding - unable to open Outlook.
I've uninstalled Office, deleted Outlook folder with pst files, re-installed
and still not opening.
The other Office programs open and work.
Any suggestions?... |

| thanks. when I can, I pull it from the header. usually that requires opening
the email, clicking "Reply" or "Forward", and then lifting the email address
from the header. Still way too many steps. Some "feature"!

| Remove the Hotmail account from your mail profile and restart Outlook (make
sure the outlook.exe process quits before starting Outlook again). After
this, add the Hotmail account to your mail profile again.
If the Hotmail account is the only mail account in your mail profile,
recreate your mail profile.

Disabling the component for mail in Norton is not enough to disable it.
Uninstall Norton, run their cleanup tool and then see if it works again. If
so, install Norton again but then without the mail component or switch to
another virus scanner vendor.

begin a message in Outlook, the draft shows up in the task bar in the Word
group icon. This did not always happen - until about a month ago, draft
Outlook messages were listed in the Outlook group on the task bar.
Anyone know why this happened, and if it's possible to change it back? I

deleated the primary Personal Folder and it's contents. Tried to do a
system restore and get System Restore Application has encountered a problem

| Since only 1 was left after the mail retrieval was finished I do not know. I
could try the same thing more that a minute apart and see what happens. All
I know that the mails has the same sender, the same subject, the same sent
time except for the seconds, came through the same server, etc. They had
slightly different text in the body, but had the same named attachment.

| Yes I did-- thanks. I called Microsoft for help-- they felt the problem was
my server was overloaded with emails and resulted in all of them being sent
each time I hit send/receive. I deleted the old emails and now it works fine.
