Time to start doing things correctly, don't you think? This has never been the correct way to transfer Outlook data. Renaming an existing Outlook data file and placing another in its place never connects the file properly to an Outlook profile. It invariably corrupts the profile and may even corrupt your data. To connect to another data file, you place it anywhere BUT the default directory, then open it in the profile you want to connect it to. The procedure is very difficult so write this down: File > Open > Outlook Data File...
