| I have done an Upgrade from Office 2003 to Office 2007.
When Outlook Starts on the E-Mail Page - in ToDo Bar- it says The Operation
Failed - An Object could not be found.
If I select the Tasks Tab to take me to Tasks by Default it goes to To Do
Folder - which has a meassage "Cannot Display Folder". I then have to select
Tasks rather than ToDo Folder.

| Click the Add Criteria button in contacts - it has categories. I don’t think
Instant search works across all item types - so you'll be limited to all
contacts or all mail with it. Views are also limited to a folder type - a
contact view won't work on mail folders.
Yes, you can save the results from a view - I don't think you can export but

| I can't start Outlook 2003 and see in this forum one fix is to go to control
panel/mail and create a new profile. When I try to do that I get an error
message that says "You need more memory or system resources. Close some
windows and try again." This is on a HP laptop running XP Pro, Pentium 1.7ghz
with 1gb ram.
I re-booted, used Smartclose to shut everything down, and tried again... |

| As per your Guidance i done but its not alerting when i am sending mail. The
macro security is chanaged to Medium. When i restart the oultook it ask for

| The inbox repair tools should already be installed on the system. Search
for scanpst.exe.
Other than that, the message is just telling you that the PST file that
stores your messages, calendar, contacts, .etc is wiggy. Repair it with
scanpst.exe. If you continue to see this, I would consider creating a new
PST file and then moving the items over from the old one.

If the problem is the received date is the import date, don't import, export
it from OE to Outlook.
To apply the same view to all folders, see

I am having the same issue, not as frequent as you though, mine is totally
random. 2003 Exchange server + 2003 Outlook + random request for password
(even though check box to save) = upset users.
Things that have changed:
Only PC has changed, new PC (Dell XPS) with XP and no previous profiles
added. Clean install of Office, only user profile in Outlook settings.

| using outlook for sending email only, as responses come through my Apple
Mail. May have something to with server settings or a config on my Outlook.
All the mail stays on my apple client--iboth incoming and sends, but the
outlook keeps dropping older mail. Today it showed 31 sent messages, which is
about 3 days worth, then for no reason showed 10.

I added my email account via outlook connector and the strangest thing has
happened. The system has only downloaded 3 of my hotmail folders with their
contents, my contact and my calendar. It won't download any of the other
folders, or inbox.

account info and set outlook to leave mail on the server. If you have more
than 1 acct, you only need to add one to the profile right now, since you
are only testing it to see if its outlook or a corrupt profile.

| Thanks, I think the problem may lie with BellSouth even though my incoming
and outgoing mail server is different. These same settings woorked fine in

If a Deny delete permission is given to folder, still new files can be
uploaded to the folder or existing files can be appended. The files inside
the folder can't be deleted or overwrited.
I don't know this for sure, but it appears that adding the Deny Delete
permission to the folder that you're preventing write access to the files it
contains.

| I did not have to uninstall outlook, what I had to do was when you start the
installer, click "customize" and you will see the list of products, and
outlook was marked as "not available", but I clicked on it and selected "run
all from my computer" and it then installed fine.
