| swap zones works with the dual time zone feature - you can see two zones in
the day or week view - the default zone is the one the computer is on. Swap
changes the computer zone to the other zone. If you have an appt for 9 AM
EST (6 AM PT) it's still going to be in the 9AM ET/6 PT row, but you'll be

| When sending a 2MB file I notice that it first sends a little over 2MB to
exchange server, and then after a few seconds it sends another 2 MB

diagnostics - you can run this from any other office app if you have an
office suite - and if that fails, use system restore to roll back to
yesterday.

| Since my last note I've been doing some more fiddling and finally got it to
work. The settings are my basic home settings (including 25 on the outbound
server setting), but I tried for the umpteenth time to set "SMPT.comcast.net"
in place of "SMPT.charter.net" and the test message feature worked. I did
have to log out and back in to get the queued notes to send. I've had these

| To backup Outlook data files, with outlook closed simply copy them.
Or use the free MS Backup addin available on outlook site
Personally I use Acronis TI for backup and imaging
If scanpst doesnt recognise the data file, then that data file is too
corrupted or the backup/copy process went wrong
If scanpst attempts to repair, but then errors out, you could retry several

| Yes, I was using the CD from my PDA. I had two options - install outlook
2002 or install active sync. I get the same result trying to install either
program. IE "unexpectedly has to close"...
I really appreciate all of your opinions. Unfortunately - I know just

When you upgrade from the older versions to outlook 2007 you should make a

2000 and got the wab file missing msg., but changed to the workgroup mode and

| You export msgs from Mail to Outlook, Outlook has to be configured.
(You select Outlook Exchange in the Mail export)
As I understand it all Mail msgs have to be located in the root folder (Not
in Folders)
BTW If and when you get your msgs into Outlook, use the Archive options, you
dont 'need' all msgs in your Inbox (or Folders you have created) The Archive
is still available to view... |
