| I finally solved my problem...I solved it by creating a new user account. It
was the only way I found to put Outlook working properly and as well as
messenger, because I was having similar problems with windows live messenger.
Try to create a new administrator account and see if ot works...It worked
with me!

| Thanks - here's the funny thing - it set itself up as an archive file under
the Inbox. the inbox has no file structure, which is maddening...but the pst
does. of course all the rules disappeared as well.
should I have used the customized setting to migrate or did it matter?

| Posted here every day. Your assumption is incorrect, however. The last thing
you want to do is copy your Outlook Data File to the default directory. Copy
it anywhere else, then open it in your new installation. Do not attempt to
import it.
The file you need is your Personal Folders file (*.pst) It's where all the
mail, calendar, contacts etc are stored.

| I don't know what happened, I decided to give up so I copied my pst file to
a laptop and got my mail that way. When I went back to my desktop, Outlook
had started after having been frozen for several hours. Now it starts every
time.

Well, then, I can't explain it, because Outlook should always reply using
the receiving account. Just for grins, add the Account field to the header
line with Field Chooser and let Outlook tell you what account it thinks it
