If you connect via IMAP, probably, but you'll get only the mail folders.

| My Hero too. I installed, removed and reinstalled the Outlook. Still every
time it kept asking Exchage Server Name. I wanted to choose Internet Mail.

| I have a user with Outlook 2003 and IE 6.0. Every time he clicks on a link
in Outlook, it appears that nothing happens. But several minutes later, the

Tried what you mentioned and that didnt work I am afraid.
Is there a default Outlook profile generator file or somekind that we can
perhaps amend with a line that will tick the box on running outlook for the
first time ?
Or perhaps some other option.
The environment does have a number of GPOs in place, could it be this
perhaps ?

Yes, same problem no matter whose user ID.
Now when the cat's out of the bag we found more computers with same problem.
So our installation image needs to be checked.
I'll let you know if we find the solution. Now it’s such a busy time of the
year that we have to prioritize.

When Outlook starts and attempts to send/receive GMAIL pop, I get a 'server

| It's ISP security. You are not allowed to use their SMTP from a remote
network without authenticating. See if enabling authentication for your SMTP
server works and otherwise use the SMTP server of the Hotspot service.

Another thing that could help is starting with a new mail profile. You can
create a second mail profile just for testing purposes and when that one
works you can remove the old one.

| Open the HTML source of the signature and see how the picture is referenced.
What you want is a relative reference to the file. Putting it in the same
folder as the htm-file of the signature might help. Or put the picture on a
web server to keep the message size small.

| Rules should transfer with the PST if you were using Outlook 2003. You
simply need to reset them to your current PST file. You can also export them
to an RWZ file if you prefer. Safe Senders List can easily be exported.
Blocked Senders List isn't worth the trouble.

The add-in may not be registered correctly. So, try registering the dll with
the following steps.
1. Exit Outlook.
2. On the Start menu click Run
3. In the Open box type the following and click OK.
regsvr32 "c:\program files\microsoft office\office\addins\outbak.dll"
