| Yes, WM5 supports IMAP and you can setup an account to check your IMAP
server when away from your desktop and syncing with Outlook. You'll need to
add account settings, you can't "import" them from Mobile Outlook. The
Mobile Outlook service and the IMAP service will be separate, but a mirror
of each other, at least as far as email is concerned:

| Outlook is not an upgrade of Eudora. You are migrating data instead. See if
Eudora supports an export format which Outlook can import. You might be able
to do it via Outlook Express as well.

| i am having a similar problem.
I recently bought my laptop, and I installed outlook, and I also redirected
all my emails from Yahoo! to hotmail, now when I go in to set the account up,
so I can get my emails on outlook, it works fine but everytime I try to

| The ISP is full of it. Outlook 2003 and 2007 do not have a separate Internet
mode. you just need to add your isp account as a POP3 or IMAP account,
whichever it is.

| If you apply new settings to a mandatory profile after you login, of course
these settings will be dropped when you logoff again and need to be
reapplied when logging in again. It is the whole purpose of a mandatory
profile.
Update your mandatory profile when it is no longer mandatory and then make
it mandatory again.

| Mystery solved! (At least, in my case).
I have a couple of hotmail accounts that access via Outlook as http accounts.
Well, it turns out that Outlook keeps building its .pst files for these
accounts, even though I've deleted the messaages.
Just close Outlook and delete these .pst files. Outlook will automatically
rebuild new (and much smaller) ones.

| Yes. I did applied the updates to both Windows XP and Outlook 2003. I am not
certain if the problem started before or after the updates. I did not open
Outlook after I reinstalled MS Office from the disk. Only recognized there
was a problem after adding Service Pack 3 when I opened outlook.

If OL reports an err with your origonal data file, have you run scanpst.exe
on it?
If that doesnt recognise it then likely the method of copying failed

Back to where I was before the de-install. My theory on the error was proved
wrong. :-(
My problem is that regardless of what I do Outlook2007 will not connect to
my Exchange 2003 server. I have Outlook Anywhere open in a browser and that
is sending and receiving fine so clearly there is no connection problem, just
within the Outlook 2007 application.
Any ideas?... |
