I want to create a menu item to permanently delete mail.

I'm not a vba person per-say although am familiar with how to create a menu
item once a macro is create, and how to enter data into a macro. Often I
just use the MS word record macro and then make a few changes to it to do
what I want.

Having said that can someone give me the code to delete a selected mail
message.

eg I just want to click on the message eg select it. Then click on a
button (that I will add at the top of the outlook program) to permanently
delete the message. Like when I hold down the shift key and delete a
message. I would prefer to not have it ask me do you want to permanently
delete the message. Most of the instructions I see on the net are macros to
delete messages based on filters or on some criteria. I just want to select
it and click delete.

Can anyone provide this?

Thanks.
